Bedouine is the indie-folk project of songwriter Azniv Korkejian, who began
building an audience after releasing her self-titled debut album in 2017. Born
to an Armenian family in Aleppo, Syria, she spent the first half of her
childhood in Saudi Arabia, where she attended an American school and was exposed
to a diverse mix of American, Armenian, and Arabic pop culture. This
multi-cultural upbringing would later influence her own songwriting, which
evoked both the erudite folk music of the 1970s and the worldly perspectives of
