Named after the popular Carnaval de Mazatlán event in their hometown, Regional
Mexican music group Banda Carnaval was formed in 2001 by Jesús Tirado Castañeda.
Fronted by lead singer Rafael Becerra, the band quickly made a name for
themselves thanks to their romantic, cumbia-tinged brand of banda music. After
making their debut later that year with the album Entre Suspiro y Suspiro, Banda
Carnaval went on to explore other traditional genres on releases like Aquí
Estamos (2008), Corridos y Rancheras (2010), and Máximo Nivel (2012), which
spawned the hit singles "Olvidarte No Será ...
