Indonesian singer Ayu Rosmalina is better known by her stage name Ayu Ting Ting. She sings in the Dangdut style, a mix of Indonesian folk and traditional pop styles, which has influences of both Arabic and Hindustani music. She began singing and modelling at an early age, being paid to sing at weddings from the age of 14. In 2007, she released her debut album 'Dilanjut Aja' which contained one of her most successful songs 'Alamat Palsu'. The song became extremely popular, but not until four years after its release.
