Antonio Sanchez
A drummer from an early age, Antonio Sanchéz (Mexico, 1971) studied at Boston's
Berklee College of Music before moving to New York, where he embarked on a
career that has seen him accompany a number of jazz greats (Chick Corea, Charlie
Haden, Toots Thielemans, Joshua Redman, Christian McBride). A member of the Pat
Metheny Group, he released his debut album Migration in 2007, promptly followed
by Element (2008), and teaches his art at universities and in masterclasses.
