Anthony Daasan
Anthony Dasan is a playback singer in the Tamil industry, as well as a
genre-fluid solo artist whose music incorporates elements of folk, electronica,
and rock. He was born on April 26, 1977, in Tamil Nadu, India. His father was a
musician, and Dasan grew up in the village of Reddipalayam, where he performed
music at home as well as in church. He later formed his own band, Anthonyin
Party, whose music blended classic Tamil folk with contemporary electronica.
