Born on July 10, 1987, in Maslandapur, West Bengal, India, Antara Mitra is best
known as a Bollywood playback singer who came to prominence in 2005 when she was
a contestant on the talent show Indian Idol 2. She began singing at the age of
three and started performing in public when she was six. By the age of 18, she
had abandoned her studies and pursued music as a career, appearing on several
