Award-winning Indian pop and playback singer Alisha Chinai aka the "Queen of
Indipop" was born on 18 March 1965 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and carved a name for
herself in the Hindi music industry, beginning with her 1985 album Jadoo and
scoring an Indipop breakthrough LP ten years later with the Biddu-produced Made
in India, which won Best Indian Pop Album and Best Music Video at the 1996
