Alek Olsen is an indie US singer-songwriter who began his career in 2015 with
his first single "drift/(:(" and spent the next few years building on his
portfolio with subsequent singles such as 2020's Rxseboy collaboration, "i'm a
ghost but it hurts," and "moon ~ sun." His career breakthrough came in 2023 with
the understated lo-fi folk favourite "someday i'll get it," which landed the
number spot on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 thanks to a TikTok trend about
