Born in Paris to an Eastern European family on December 14, 1947, Alain Turban
grew up in the Montmartre district, then in the Paris suburbs. Author, composer,
pianist and performer, he recorded his first albums at the turn of the 1970s for
various labels and moved to Ardèche, where he ran his own discotheque,
Sagitarius. Attracted by the disco craze, he took the pseudonym Allain and
