A-Wa
The three sisters Tair, Liron and Tagel Haim formed the group A-Wa in 2013.
Hailing from a village in southern Israel, they fuse traditional Yemeni women's
songs learned from their grandmother with modern rhythms. Discovered by one of
the members of the Balkan Beat Box group and promoted in Europe thanks to DJ
sets by Parisian duo Acid Arab, they produced Habib Galbi, their debut album
released in 2016 on the Because label.
